DATCHA / FRANCE-MAROC-ESPAGNE
Les créateurs de Datcha, Amandine Furhmann et Mériadek Caraës, tous deux formés aux Arts Plastiques et à l’Histoire de l’Art se sont rencontrés il y a plus de dix ans et ont, depuis lors, toujours travaillé ensemble dans le milieu des Arts et du Design.
Ce projet, muri de longue date est l’aboutissement d’une passion commune pour l’artisanat, le savoir-faire et la décoration.
Fascinés par la richesse de l’artisanat, sa diversité et ses nombreuses expressions, nous avons souhaité explorer ces territoires et en nourrir notre création.
Chaque collection débute par la recherche et la découverte d’une production spécifique à une région, d’une matière, d’une technique, de couleurs qui font l’identité d’un patrimoine local.
De cette rencontre naît un dialogue continu avec les artisans, entre savoir-faire et exigence contemporaine. Comme eux, nous souhaitons préserver et voir perdurer ces traditions et ce patrimoine transmis depuis des générations.

DATCHA / FRANCE-MOROCCO-SPAIN
Datcha’s founders, Amandine Furhmann and Mériadek Caraës, both educated in Fine Arts and the History of Art, met each another ten years ago and have worked together ever since in the world of Art and Design.
This project, developed over a long period of time, is the culmination of a mutual passion for the craft industry and decoration.
Fascinated by the riches of craftsmanship, its diversity and its many expressions, we have wished to explore these domains and with them, cultivate our own creation.
Each collection begins with research and the discovery of a specific form of production in a region, a material, a technique or particular colours which make up the identity of local heritage.
This encounter creates a continuous dialogue with artisans, between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary demands. Like them, we wish to preserve these traditions and this heritage, handed down through generations and to see them live on.
